Another blog...

The Rakino Ratepayers Association has set up their own official blog in an effort to control the dissemination of information, here.

You may notice some similarities to this site :). I hope that this is a step towards them becoming more transparent and informing the public of their works and that they report the unvarnished truth. I see no point in attempting to rival them.

Open Fishing Competition

This year's heaviest snapper trophy competition will be held on Queen's Birthday weekend, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June. To enter, you must be a member of the Rakino Ratepayers Association or family member of such.

The fish must be caught off the rocks anywhere round Rakino or within 200m of the island.

Weigh in at 4pm on Sunday 3rd June at the Rakino Hall, BBQ provided.

Become a member now or on the day, the choice is yours. Only $30 for a sub till July 2008.

Reubens

The Water Taxi no longer leaves from Pier 3 but has moved round to the Viaduct, just in front of the Loaded Hog.
