Another blog...

The Rakino Ratepayers Association has set up their own official blog in an effort to control the dissemination of information, here.

You may notice some similarities to this site :). I hope that this is a step towards them becoming more transparent and informing the public of their works and that they report the unvarnished truth. I see no point in attempting to rival them.

Kingfish caught at the wharf

Sam Orton on holiday from Christchurch with his dad caught this 16.6Kg Kingfish from the Rakino wharf. Sam caught his fish live baiting on piper.

Sea Food, Shell Fish and the Rakino Bins

Shock Horror! People are putting used shell fish, fish frames and even dead birds in the rubbish bins. Please desist from putting these foul smelly things in the bins. Replace what you take from the sea to the sea, use it as burly or just chuck it in the ocean round the rocks. The fish will clean any remains. Help keep our rates down and the bins clean and sweet smelling!
