Another blog...

The Rakino Ratepayers Association has set up their own official blog in an effort to control the dissemination of information, here.

You may notice some similarities to this site :). I hope that this is a step towards them becoming more transparent and informing the public of their works and that they report the unvarnished truth. I see no point in attempting to rival them.

Art Show

Hi Rakino Artists. The Easter Art Exhibition is all on track and I trust you are all painting furiously. I look forward to seeing all your efforts!

Make sure your work is registered and on the island at the latest 1st April.

Easter

The Ordinary General Meeting of the Rakino Ratepayers Association is to be held on Sunday 8th of April (Easter Sunday) at 4pm at the Rakino Community Hall.

The Jazz and Art Picnic is taking place on Saturday 7th April down at Sandy Bay and at the wharf. Contact John Scott - john.scott@attglobal.net or Chris Clews - chrisc@displayequipment.co.nz

The Junior Fishing Contest starts at 9:30am on Monday 9th April at the wharf. Contact Lez.

Barge

Sealink is suggesting the 24th March for the next barge to Rakino. They
need registrations of interest as they have only two customers at the moment.

High tide is around midday.
